New clients need to arrive 10 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment. This will allow time to fill out a health history form so it doesn't cut into the treatment time. Clients must provide an accurate and complete health history and update any changes.
Direct billing to most extended health benefit plans (ex. Green Shield, Great West Life and Sunlife) can be done. Cash, Visa, and MasterCard are accepted.
When massage therapy appointments are scheduled, this time is set aside for only you – no other client is scheduled at the same time. If cancellation is necessary, 24 hours’ notice is necessary to avoid a charge. Emergency cancellations will be determined at the therapist’s discretion.
In the case of an illness, please reschedule your appointment. This is both for the health of the therapist and client. Massage can sometimes increase your symptoms making you feel worse after your treatment.
Any and all information gathered is to provide a safe and effective treatment and remains confidential at all times. Any release of information will be allowed when there is written permission from the client.
Confidentially can be broken at the following times:
- when there’s a clear and imminent threat to the client or another individual
- when there is suspected abuse of a child
- when an adult is abused by another medical professional
- a court subpoena for a client’s records
